About This Game
Game Introduction
Friday Night Funkin’ Neo V3 is a fan-made rhythm game that builds on the classic FNF experience. You control BF as he sings and dances through musical battles. The game includes three distinct versions: BASIC, NEO, and CHILL, each with its own visual and audio style. You can play up to Week 5 in both Story Mode and Free Play Mode, giving you many songs to master. The music is composed by Kawai Sprite, and the art is by PhantomArcade 3K and Evilsk8r. This open-source project was developed by a team including JellyFishedm, Mr.M0isty, EvanClubYT, and MagnusStrom. It is a celebration of rhythm and creativity, suitable for players of all ages.
How to Play
To play, first choose one of the three versions: BASIC, NEO, or CHILL. Then select Story Mode or Free Play Mode. During the game, watch the arrow symbols above BF. When they align with the arrows on the screen, press the matching arrow key on your keyboard: up, down, left, or right. Timing is important. Hit the notes correctly to keep the music going and increase your score. If you miss too many notes in a row, you lose the round. You must complete all notes in a song to advance. Practice helps improve your rhythm and reaction time. Each week introduces new songs and challenges.
Game Features
Game features include: three playable versions with different styles. Story Mode and Free Play Mode are both available. Content extends to Week 5. The game tracks your score and progress through each song. It is free to play online with no downloads needed. The controls are simple and responsive.
Tips for Success
Focus on timing rather than speed—hitting notes accurately builds your score and keeps the song going. Practice each song in Free Play Mode to learn the patterns before attempting Story Mode. Listen carefully to the music; the beat often guides the arrow rhythm. If you struggle with a section, try reducing distractions and focusing on the arrow alignment. Regular short practice sessions can improve your reaction time more than long sessions.
